Sister Jeanne Thurin (Sister Basil) entered the Humility of Mary Community in September 1964 from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Canton.

Sister Jeanne’s first thirty years in ministry were in education, before she moved into service at the House of Loreto in Canton.

Having been previously married Sister Gay is a “sister mom.” She entered the Humility of Mary Community from the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Charleston, South Carolina in 1999 when her son and daughter were adults.

Construction at the Ursuline Motherhouse in Canfield is nearing completion, transforming parts of the historic facility into a modern assisted living facility.
