Catholic Echo and diocesan communications recognized at CMC in Atlanta

The Diocese of Youngstown and The Catholic Echo was well-represented at this year’s Catholic Media Association Awards ceremony, which was held the last day of the association’s conference in Atlanta from June 18 to 21.

Youngstown representatives brought home six awards:

First Place: Best Audio/Video Interview, Catholic Echo Podcast Episode 5, Pastoral Letter: Practicing Faith Hope and Love-Rev. James Korda, Bishop David J. Bonnar and Robert Gavalier and Justin Huyck

Second Place: Best Web and Print Package, The Catholic Echo Media Group, Communications Department and the Catholic Echo Staff

Honorable Mentions:

-Best Regular Column, Walking By Faith Together, by Bishop David J. Bonnar

Best Special Issue: September 2023 “Celebrations” Issue, The Catholic Echo Staff

-Best Coverage: Train Derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, The Catholic Echo Staff and Communications Department

-Best Website: The Catholic Echo Media Website, The Catholic Echo Staff and 898 Marketing

Next year’s award ceremony will be held June 24 to 27 in Phoenix, Arizona.
