Each year, the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson hosts a pilgrimage around the Feast of the Assumption. On Tuesday, August 13, Bishop David Bonnar celebrated Mass during the pilgrimage, which was themed “The Mother of God, A Gift to Us” this year.

Sister René Parman, formerly Sister Marie René and the former Faye Parman, graduated from Lourdes Academy, Cleveland, in 1938.
Sister Susanne Gill, the former Barbara “Bobbie” Gill, entered the Humility of Mary Community in 1949 from St. Paul Parish in North Canton. She attended St. Paul’s Elementary School, North Canton High School (presently Hoover High School), St. John College in Cleveland, for her BSE and Purdue University in Indiana for her MSE.
Sister Margaret Burgess, formerly Sister Monica, entered the Humility of Mary community in 1954 from St. Patrick Parish in Kent.
Sister Catherine Cassidy entered the Humility of Mary Community in 1953 from St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Parma, and professed her perpetual vows in 1969.
