Centro San Pablo Salem

In Salem, Ohio, there is a place where faith, culture, and community come together to support Hispanic families. That place is Centro San Pablo, a space created by St. Paul Parish to respond to the spiritual and human needs of a community that has grown through effort, work, and hope. Since its opening in 2014, Centro San Pablo has become a gathering place for families from different Latin American countries who now call northwest Ohio home. Traditions that were born in different countries remain alive in Salem thanks to the efforts of those who wish to share their culture with new generations.

En Salem, Ohio, existe un lugar donde la fe, la cultura y la comunidad se encuentran para acompañar a las familias hispanas. Ese lugar es el Centro San Pablo, un espacio creado por la Parroquia San Paul para responder a las necesidades espirituales y humanas de una comunidad que ha crecido con esfuerzo, trabajo y esperanza. Desde su inauguración en el año 2014, el Centro San Pablo se ha convertido en un punto de encuentro para familias de diferentes países latinoamericanos que hoy llaman hogar al noroeste de Ohio. Las tradiciones que nacieron en distintos países siguen vivas en Salem gracias al esfuerzo de quienes desean compartir su cultura con las nuevas generaciones.

Organized by the Hispanic congregation, Pastor Father Frassati Davis, O.P. and the John XXIII Movement, this moving reenactment invites us to reflect on the passion and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Participants walked together in prayer, faith, and unity.

La comunidad católica latina de la Diócesis Youngstown celebró la Cuarta Cumbre Hispana con una Misa en español presidida por el Obispo David Bonnar y un taller sobre catequesis familiar que resaltó la riqueza cultural y la identidad en la fe.
The Latino Catholic community of the Diocese of Youngstown celebrated the Fourth Hispanic Summit with a Mass in Spanish presided over by Bishop David Bonnar, and a workshop on family catechesis that highlighted cultural richness and identity in the faith.

Bob is the Senior Multimedia Production Specialist for the Diocese of Youngstown. He also served the Catholic Telecommunications Network of Youngstown (CTNY) for over 25 years, most recently as General Manager. While at CTNY, Bob contributed to CTNY’s numerous awards, including a 2022 Communicator Award of Excellence and 2022 Telly Award. Bob received his B.A. in Telecommunications from Kent State University and, in addition to his work for the Church, is an active sports broadcaster. Bob is also the producer of diocese’s radio show/podcast, Wineskins, and its television program, Mass for Shut-Ins.
