
Sr. Marguerite Holz, formerly Sr. Lorraine, entered the HM Community from Holy Family Parish in Parma, Ohio. A graduate of St. Boniface High School in Cleveland, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Notre Dame College in Cleveland, a Master of Arts in Education from Akron State University in Akron, Ohio, and a Master of Pastoral Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans, La. Sr. Marguerite earned a certification in Spiritual Direction from Jesuit Renewal Center in Milford, Ohio.
Sr. Marguerite ministered in education in multiple capacities for 22 years as a teacher and assistant principal at Central Catholic High School in Canton, Ohio, and a teacher and guidance counselor at Magnificat High School in Rocky River. She served in the diocesan offices in both Cleveland and Youngstown; at Laurel Lake Retirement Community in Hudson; as a core member of the Diocesan House of Prayer in Youngstown; and as a staff member at the Maria Stein Center in Maria Stein, Ohio.
She spent 23 years in ministry as a spiritual director, staff member and ministry team member at Villa Maria Community Center, Villa Maria Retreat Center, and Villa Maria Education & Spirituality Center in Villa Maria, Pa. She dedicated several years as a volunteer at St. Angela Merici Parish in Youngstown.
Today, Sr. Marguerite serves in the Ministry of Prayer at Villa Maria Community Center.
