
This trio of cooks prepare for a St. John the Baptist (Canton) Altar Society spaghetti dinner in 1969, to be served in the parish auditorium. In their faces are all the love and hope that such a parish event can stir up in a community. Pasta and sauce are staples for many parishes all over the diocese. Dinners may be fundraisers for specific causes or for the upkeep of the parish, or they may be fun-raisers meant to draw people together. Whatever type of event these women are cooking for, it looks like they put the “fun” in it!
