Sister Teresina Rosa was born in Italy, in a town east of Naples, and entered the community of the Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1949. She took her first vows three years later and then went to Rome to continue her studies, before she was asked to join the community here in Youngstown in 1955.

Sister Mary Therese Berry, formerly Sister M. Teresa, entered the Humility of Mary Community in 1959 from St. Leo Parish in Cleveland.
God’s faithfulness has sustained Sister Carolyn Marshall for 65 years as she has lived out the call to religious life.
Sister Helen Jean Novy, formerly Sister M. John Mark, entered the Humility of Mary Community in 1959 from Blessed Sacrament Parish in Cleveland.
Sister Stella Schmid, the former Margaret Schmid, entered the Humility of Mary Community from St. Paul Parish in Salem, in October 1958.
Sister Linda Valasik (Sister Mary Stephanie) graduated from Lourdes Academy, Cleveland, Ohio in 1958.
Sister Catherine McConnell, formerly Sister Thomas Joseph, graduated from Magnificat High School in Rocky River, in 1963, and entered the Humility of Mary Community from St. Clement Church in Lakewood later that year.
