Sister Catherine McConnell- 60th Jubilee

Sister Catherine McConnell, formerly Sister Thomas Joseph, graduated from Magnificat High School in Rocky River, in 1963, and entered the Humility of Mary Community from St. Clement Church in Lakewood later that year. She received her BSE from St. John College in Cleveland, and her MA in Religious Studies from John Carroll University in Cleveland.

Sister Catherine spent 18 years ministering in education, teaching at St. Anthony Church (now St. Francis of Assisi Parish) in Canton and St. Mary Church (now Corpus Christi Parish) in Conneaut in the Youngstown diocese and St. Albert the Great in North Royalton; Blessed Sacrament in Cleveland; St. Martha in Akron; and St. Martin de Porres High School in Cleveland in the Cleveland diocese.

She served as Director of Religious Education and Youth Minister at Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain from 1985 to 1989. From 1990-1997, Sister Catherine served as part of the Cleveland Diocesan Mission Team in El Salvador. Upon her return from El Salvador, she served as Hispanic Minister at St. Camillus Parish in Silver Spring, Maryland, for eight years. She currently serves as a Pastoral Associate at Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain, and in the HM Ministry of Prayer.
