IDEAS FOR PERSONAL PRAYER AND OBSERVANCES

Go on a nature walk, picnic or hike, while reflecting on the beauty of God’s creation.

Attend Adoration and pray for peace.

Watch a movie! Examples of movies with Franciscan themes include Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1972) and Francesco (1989).

Start a vegetable or flower garden at your home. Include a statue of Saint Francis!

Participate in the Corporal Works of Mercy by volunteering at a community garden or food drive. You can also support Catholic Charities or St. Vincent de Paul by donating or volunteering at seasonal drives or food banks. 

Keep an eye out for events at your parish in honor of the jubilee year.
