In the Diocese of Youngstown, Sister Mary Avsec (Sister Mary St. Bernadine) served as a teacher at St. Mary School in Warren and St. Mary School in Massillon. Sister Mary currently assists with pastoral ministry at St. Vitus Parish in Cleveland. She has also ministered as a primary and intermediate grade teacher in many schools in the Cleveland diocese. She resides at the SND Center in Chardon and participates in service to the SND community.
