Sister Carolyn Capuano – 60th Jubilee

Sister Carolyn Capuano entered the Humility of Mary Community in 1964 from St. John the Baptist Parish in Canton. She is the daughter of Leana and (the late) Anthony Capuano. Sister Carolyn earned a B.S. from Notre Dame College, Ohio, an M.S. in Biological Sciences from Cleveland State University, and an M.T.S. with distinction from Weston Jesuit School of Theology.

She currently serves as a Pastoral Associate for Social Justice and Liturgical Ministries at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Canton, and as a Retreat Director at Eastern Point Jesuit Retreat House in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Her previous ministries include faculty positions at Lourdes, Erieview and St. Ignatius High schools and at St. John and Tri-C colleges, Cleveland, as well as at NEOMED department of family and community medicine.

Sister Carolyn previously served as Director of Villa Maria Retreat Center, Villa Maria, Pennsylvania, as vice-president of mission and ministry at Mercy Hospital in Canton and on the leadership team of the Humility of Mary Community. Her past and present service on boards of directors include: Jesuit Retreat and Renewal Ministries (national), United Way of Greater Stark County, Ohio, Warren St. Joseph Hospital Development Board, Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital Development Board and Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center.
