The Good News: March 2025

CATHOLIC SISTERS WEEK

This year, across the nation and in our diocese, we celebrate and honor Catholic Sisters during the week of March 8 to 14. During this week, you can expect to see our local communities launching campaigns to help grow awareness, encourage vocations and expand their Gospel witness. We encourage parishioners to participate by engaging with and praying for the religious Sisters of our diocese in a particular way. Visit

www.catholicsistersweek.org to learn more.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION

In-person and online adult faith formation opportunities are open to anyone wanting to grow deeper in their faith and learn something new. These sessions help all people—regardless of their role in a parish—to experience a new understanding of belief and practice. A new lineup of courses, both for core hours and general hours, is now available, including a course beginning on March 6 by Father Chad Johnson titled “Sursum Corda: Understanding the Holy Mass” at St. Jude Parish in Columbiana. Please visit Catechist Cafe or contact Margie Hynes at 330-744-8451 ext. 296 or mhynes@youngstowndiocese.org with any questions.

HISPANIC SUMMIT

The third annual diocesan Hispanic Summit will be held on Saturday, March 9, at Immaculate Conception Parish in Ravenna. This event includes Mass in Spanish and a conversation with Bishop Bonnar about the needs of the Hispanic community around the diocese. To read about last year’s event, visit www.catholicecho.org. To learn more about the upcoming event,
