The 1954 New Year Baby for the Lisbon area was Florence Ann Spiller, seen here in the arms of her godmother. She was the first baby born in her community that year and the last baby to be baptized by Father Herman Klocker (right) at Saint George Church, Lisbon. He moved on to his new assignment—pastor at Saint Paul Parish in North Canton—on January 15. Florence’s proud godparents are Mr. and Mrs. Prosper Morella.
