Sister Jeanne’s faith journey began at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist in Canton, Ohio, and her education continued at Central Catholic High School, and eventually Walsh University.

It was in high school that the Sisters of the Divine Spirit came into her life through volunteering at the House of Loreto, a home for senior citizens. In her heart was a strong desire for religious life and she knew that the Congregation of the Divine Spirit was for her.

Her first 30 years in religious life were spent teaching various grades—especially middle school—at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School and St. James School in Erie, Pennsylvania. After that, her ministry for the next thirty years would be at the House of Loreto, where she loves the people and served in various areas including dietary, nursing, housekeeping and human resources.

About her career, Sister Jeanne said, “Serving Jesus by serving others is a very fulfilling life. In a world that seems hopeless, Sisters are signs of Hope. We can only be happy if we are following our vocation and serving others.”
