WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
World Mission Sunday, our annual worldwide Eucharistic celebration for the Missions and missionaries of the world, will be celebrated on October 19 and 20 this year. This collection on the second-to-last Sunday in October is a unique, global effort for the entire Church to provide for the building up of over 1,000 local churches in Asia, Africa, the Pacific Islands, Latin America and Europe. Through the work of these churches and their witness to Christ, the poor receive practical help and experience God’s love and mercy, His hope and peace. Visit www.doy.org/missions/.
#IGIVECATHOLIC
In addition to Catholic Charities’ #GivingTuesday campaigns and events, the diocese is taking part in and facilitating parishes’ involvement in the international fundraising day on December 3. Parishes, schools and diocesan Catholic organizations can register to participate in this day of fundraising through #iGiveCatholic, which is free of cost—with all donations going directly to the organization. #iGiveCatholic provides resources and online help to walk organizations through the registration process. Registration closes on November 1.
