Photo Essay: World Youth Day Summer Festival

In conjunction with World Youth Day, which was held this year in Portugal with Pope Francis, the diocese’s Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry welcomed young adults ages 18-39 to its first local World Youth Day Summer Festival, hosted at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Cortland. The event was held Friday and Saturday, August 4 and 5, and it included guest speakers, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with praise and worship and the opportunity for confession, a Rosary procession, food and fellowship.

The festival concluded with a Mass celebrated by Bishop David Bonnar. Scroll down to see Catholic Echo photographer Brian Keith’s photos from the Mass.
