Walsh University to host Cavs Connect Annual Conference

Walsh University will host its Cavs Connect Annual Conference from 12-6 p.m., March 2 at the university’s Barrette Business and Community Center.

The networking and professional development event, sponsored by Huntington Bank, Williams Co., and Kempthorn Motors,  is designed to bring community supporters, alums, parents, students and friends of Walsh together to network, learn and serve, according to a press release from Walsh.

This conference will kick off with a welcome lunch and conclude with happy hour and networking, the press release notes. Cost is  $75 per person and includes lunch, educational sessions, coffee and cookies and happy hour. Registration and information: www.walsh.edu/cavs-connect-annual-conference.

Presentations will include: 

“Leading with Cultural Humility,” by Dr. James Knight, vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion, Lakewood St. Edward High School, and author of “The Impact of Cultural Humility;”

“Leading Alongside Stress; A Unique Approach to Reducing Burnout and Increasing Resilience,” by Jenifer Hill, executive leadership coach;

“Using Music to Illustrate Cultural Connections,” by Dr. Britt Cooper, coordinator of visual and performing arts and professor of music, at Walsh;

“Leadership in a Purpose-Driven Culture, by Nick Browning, president, Mahoning Valley/Akron/Canton Region at Huntington National Bank.
