Knights of Columbus Blood Drive

Knights of Columbus Geneva-Madison KofC Council  #5286 will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at 6113 North Ridge Road West, Geneva, OH 44041.

The American Red Cross is experiencing a national blood shortage. Back-to-school season, summer travel and an already active hurricane season have hindered blood donations, resulting in a shortfall of about 30,000 blood donations in August alone. Right now, blood product distributions to hospitals are outpacing the number of blood donations coming in. The Red Cross is working with hospitals around the clock to meet the blood needs of patients – but can’t do it alone. We need your help!

“We urge community members to donate blood and help ensure that patients in local hospitals have a supply of blood ready and waiting before an emergency occurs. There’s no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life.” It could be your own.

According to the Red Cross, donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative as Power Red donors.
