CATHOLIC SISTERS WEEK
This year, across the nation and in our diocese, we celebrate and honor Catholic sisters during the week of March 8 to 14. During this week, you can expect to see our local communities launching campaigns to help grow awareness, encourage vocations and expand their Gospel witness. The Youngstown Diocese encourages parishioners to participate by engaging with and praying for the religious sisters of our diocese in a particular way during this special week. Visit www.catholicsistersweek.org to learn more.
CRS RICE BOWLS
Catholic Relief Services’ Lenten faith-in-action program, CRS Rice Bowls, runs through the Lenten season, inviting reflection on how caring for one’s neighbor is caring for Christ. Donations should be turned in to your parish during Holy Week. Reach out to R.J. Mangan, CRS diocesan director, at mangan@youngstowndiocese.org with questions.Â

The fourth annual diocesan Hispanic Summit will be held on Saturday, February 28, at Immaculate Conception Parish in Ravenna (Portage County). This event includes Mass in Spanish and a conversation with Bishop Bonnar about the needs of the Hispanic community around the diocese. To read about last year’s event, visit www.catholicecho.org. To learn more about the upcoming event, visit www.doy.org/ministerio-hispano/.
MINISTRY DAY
Save the date for Ministry Day 2026, which will be held on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville (Stark County).
