
Sister Helen Nordick is active with the Ursuline Sisters’ prayer and hospitality ministries. Sister Helen has served in a variety of roles on behalf of her religious community over the years, including being a healthcare nurse’s aide. She also ministered as the director of religious education for St. Columba Cathedral Parish in Youngstown, where she sang in the choir, and as the director of housekeeping for St. Thomas Hospital in Akron.
Sister Helen also served as a teacher for St. Patrick, Sacred Heart, Immaculate Conception and Holy Name schools in Youngstown, Ursuline Preschool & Kindergarten in Canfield, St. Joan of Arc School in Canton, St. Nicholas School in Struthers and St. Rose School in Girard.
A graduate of Central Catholic High School in Canton, Sister Helen earned a master’s degree in pastoral ministry from Loyola University of New Orleans, a master’s in elementary education from YSU and a baccalaureate in elementary education from YSU. She holds additional professional certifications.
