Visit voteohio.gov ( https://www.voteohio.gov/ ) for more information or view the enclosed flyer.\nWhat is the purpose of the special election?\nISSUE 1 – Asks voters if Ohio should “Require that any proposed amendment to the Constitution of the State of Ohio receive the approval of at least 60 percent of eligible voters voting on the proposed amendment.”\nPlease note: The bishops of Ohio do not have a position on Issue 1 in August, as it does not have direct moral content. The August election is different from the proposed November 2023 ballot initiative that would expand and enshrine abortion, which the Ohio bishops oppose.
