Ryan Furlong, Director of the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, 330-744-8451, rfurlong@youngstowndiocese.org\nPlease download and use this nomination form.\nThe Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown is pleased to accept nominations for the “Eagle of the Cross.” The Diocese of Youngstown presents this award annually to outstanding juniors and seniors in high school who show particular zeal in the improvement of their own parish ministry programs, high school ministry teams or youth work in general within the Diocese.\nThe award is presented to teens in the six counties of the Diocese of Youngstown who model Christian discipleship and exemplify the qualities of moral integrity, prayer, good works and Christian leadership in their school and parish communities. While a limited number of recipients are chosen for the Eagle of the Cross Award, they represent many admirable young people around the diocese.\nNominees must be Catholic and exemplify the qualities of moral integrity, prayer, good works and Christian leadership. This award was created by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, and is the highest honor our diocese presents youth. In the Diocese of Youngstown, a maximum of 3 awards per county for parish involvement and 2 awards per diocesan Catholic high school are awarded each year.\nNominations accepted beginning in December and must be received at the Diocesan Office by 3 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023 (please plan ahead and mail by February 9).\nMail or deliver nominations to:\nOffice of Youth and Young Adult Ministry\nAttn: Fr.
